Many people associate the hymen with virginity and are misguided to believe that the hymen 'breaks' when a lady has penetrative sex for the first time.
1.) The Hymen:
The hymen is a thin, flexible tissue around the vaginal opening that naturally wears down over time.

2.) Myth Busting:
Contrary to myths, the hymen doesn't "pop" or break; it stretches and thins out over time, through everyday activities like sports.

3.) Already Open:
For many, the hymen is likely open before the first penetrative experience or use of a menstrual product (like tampons or cups).

4.) Sensations:
While stretching may cause discomfort, many won't feel anything, including bleeding.

5.) Diversity:
Not everyone is born with a hymen. It is not abnormal; it challenges social expectations.
6.) Visibility:
The hymen is usually not visible; it blends in with the vagina's interior color.
7.) Sensory Perception:
It's nearly impossible to feel with fingers, and those penetrating won't notice a difference from the vaginal walls.
8.) Not a Barrier:
The hymen isn't a barrier to penetration; it doesn't hinder menstruation either.
9.) Rare Condition:
Some may have an imperforate hymen (totally closed), a rare condition correctable through surgery.

Women should not be put under societal pressure to conform to mentally harmful myths.
Expectations such as difficult penetration, proof of blood, and shouting in pain upon penetration are ill-informed.
Talk about it and bust those myths.
